Back in 2002, Isuzu introduced their brand new pick-up truck to its customers, the D-Max. It has proven to be a big hit with motorists, not only here in the UK but across the world, particularly in the likes of Thailand and Malaysia. It delivered its second generation update in 2012, and given the high sales figures that it has attracted globally, it would not be a surprise if we saw the arrival of the third-gen D-Max sometime over the next two-to-three years. Before then, though, let’s take a closer look at what the D-Max has to offer, along with one of our top deals for the vehicle.

The D-Max is the only Isuzu car currently available in Great Britain, but there are several variants for this model, including Utility, Eiger, Yukon, Utah and Blade options. It has also received numerous mid-gen enhancements, not least a 1.9 diesel engine to replace the 2.5 alternative that had been place since the current-gen motor left the production line. As a pick-up truck, it is sufficiently durable, tough and capable of coping with all forms of road conditions, with a very powerful engine, a generously long warranty period of five years/125,000 miles, and despite its range of features, it takes a simplified approach by concentrating first and foremost on the driving experience.

Though its engine is strong, it is not particularly heavy on the vehicle, and the car as a whole feels surprisingly light considering its size. But don’t take that as a sign that it is not spacious, because there is plenty of room for anything that you’ll need to pack in when heading out on the road. In terms of downsides, the fact that we are seven years on from the current version being unveiled (even given the minor updates in 2017) means that it may feel a little outdated and even old-fashioned compared to other similar vehicles, and as alluded to earlier, it’s the only option possible if you wish to own a Isuzu car. Still, it is a very good overall package, and in our view, it’s as good a pick-up truck as you will find in today’s market.

So, let’s say that you wish to buy an Isuzu D-Max; what deals do we currently have? Well, the best one is for a relatively recent version, that being a 2016 registration vehicle. The car comes in a super-cool red bodywork and it has a mileage to date of 33,000. It also comes equipped with a 2499 engine, and it runs on diesel power with automatic transmission. The vehicle is available right now for only £90 per week, which is an eye-catching deal for anybody who wishes to purchase this popular model.
